2002年3月29日、エルサレム南西部のユダヤ人地区にあるショッピングセンター内で自爆テロがあり、居合わせたイスラエル人2人が死亡、20人が負傷した。犯人1人も死亡した。犯人はベツレヘム近郊の難民キャンプに住む18歳のパレスチナ人の女子高校生で、死亡した犠牲者の１人もイスラエル人の女子高校生だった。
犯人の年齢については、14歳〜16歳との報道もあるが、卒業を控えた高校生であり、今夏結婚予定の婚約者がいたということから、18歳であったというのが正しいと思われる。 Suicidal-explosion terrorism occured in the shopping center of the Jerusalem southwest part on March 29, 2002, two Israelis died, and 20 persons got injured.
