Introduction

Bobby Vinton was born on April 16, 1935 in Canonsburg, PA.

He formed his band in high school days.He played sax, trumpet, clarinet and showed his talent as a singer.He toured with Bobby Vee, Brenda Lee, Tony Orland, Sammy Davis, Jr. and many other teen idols of the decade as the band leader in 1960
In 1961 he released his first band album and next year he recorded "Roses are red". The song became no.1 in the nation and many hit records followed such as "Blue on blue""Blue velvet""Mr.lonely""I love how you love me"etc. In 1974 he recorded the song"My melody of love".Since then he has been called "the Polish prince"as he used Polish in its lyrics.His autobiography"Polish Prince was
published in 1978.Today he has his own theatre in Branson, MO. and ocasionally releases new recording material.
