GEORGIA
SAKARTVELO* |
|
As a result of the Georgian-Abkhazian war
(1992-1993) more than 150.000 people are displaced in
different parts of Georgia. |
|
ARTISTS WITHOUT BORDERS
took badly needed art supplies as donations for the refugee
centers and held art-workshops with refugee children in
Kutaisi and Tbilissi.
|
|
Together with Japanese and local volunteers,
ARTISTS WITHOUT BORDERS distributed
donations (crayons), taught origami and exchanged drawings
from Japanese children with the Georgian refugee children
from Sukhumi, Gagra and other places of Abkhazia. |
|
* SAKARTVELO is the name of Georgia
in Georgian language. |
