In 1993 November Tsukasa Mizuguchi fatefully met Masahiro Nakamura at Shinjuku,Tokyo. It was the beginning of ASLAN. Masahiro wanted to be Japanese-Jon Anderson. Tsukasa had been looking for the band to play "yesmusic". They decided raise the other band members and to start the band as soon as they could.

In 1994 Spring Masahiro and Tsukasa began to invite the band members to play "yesmusic". But they could not gather the members except a guitarist, because both the first drummer and the first keyboardist lacked ability to play "yesmusic". Summer Tsukasa got one tape including one band performing "yesmusic" after he advertised to gather the band members on Monthly-Keyboard-Magazine. When Tsukasa heard this keyboardist playing, he made up his mind to let this keyboardist, Ryuji Yonekura, to join to the band. After a while, they had some sessions with some drummers and some keyboardists. Hideki Ikeuchi and Ryuji appeared at the first session. Hideki played correctly tracing "Bill Brufford" 's drum-stick-workings more than any other drummers. After these sessions, Tsukasa called up Hideki and Ryuji on the phone, and Tsukasa said, "Please play with us..." It took about 9 months to form the band. For Tsukasa, It had taken 5 years since he began to look for the band members. Over 20 years had passed since he wanted to play "yesmusic" in his own band.

In 1995 April Masahiro left the band because he wanted to have more time for his other work to play celtic music. Summer After searching for the vocalist, the band found a female vocalist to be able to sing "yesmusic". They named the band "ASLAN" as their first gig was forthcoming. 10th-Oct ASLAN's first show was with 4 progressive rock bands at Meguro The Live Station in Tokyo.

In 1996 3rd-March ASLAN had second gig at Komagome Sound Factory in Tokyo. It was their first solo stage. 9th-June It was 3rd gig at Ebis Guilty with 4 bands.

In 1997 January A vocalist had left the band. February Tsukasa called up Masahiro on the phone and asked him to come back to ASLAN. Then after, Masahiro said... "yes". 20th-April ASLAN had 150 minutes longtime show like "yes" at Head Power in Shinjuku. Over 150 peoples gathered there. Among those, Shoji Yamada was there. This was the first time for Shoji to meet ASLAN. After a few weeks ago, he had a contact with Tsukasa. 17th-August Ryuji married Kayo Nganano who was very cute girl looks like Yumi Adachi. They had wedding celebration at Crocodile in Harajuku, Tokyo. At this party, ASLAN performed some "yesmusics" in a short time.

In 1998 January Mariko Shibata, who was the first fan of ASLAN, tried to build ASLAN's homepage to handle. 22th-March ASLAN had the 2nd longtime show with Genesis tribute band called "Fukkoku-Souseiki" ( This name means re-genesis in Japanese ) at Anti-Knock in Shinjuku, Tokyo .
