HTML tools

This is a package of three tools, which should assist you in composing HTML e-mail/posting. That is;
  1. EDIT HTML (HTML editor)
  2. Colorize for messenger (colorize tool)
  3. Set Stylin (Indent tool)
File name is cpjtool1.jar. J is not for Java.

Expected working environment: all Communicator, all platform.

How to install:
Download cpjtool1.zip from here. (6.9KB) Save this file to any directory you can remember. Close NC. Virus check if you like. You'll get cpjtool1.jar after unzip. Move or copy it to your NC's .../program/plugins folder. Restart NC.

How to use:
1. EDIT HTML.
This is a reform version of Tools | HTML tools | Edit HTML. The original tool is included in cptest.jar and/or cpedhtml.jar. If you only have cpPack1.jar, you'll have Edit HTML source on tools menu, but it don't have a feature to copy and paste. On Edit HTML, you can use copy and paste by right clicking (Windows), but it always opens in a small window, and at least on my system, fonts are very small. So I tried to open on a larger window, and increased the font size. Other features are not changed.
After install, you'll get Tools | HTML tools | EDIT HTML. Screen shot is here.

2. Colorize for Messenger.
This is also an attempt to reform the composer plugins which already exists. As the regulars of NTMM know well, colorize or rainbow colorize does not work properly in Messenger. There are two problems which are fixed on this tool.

  1. If you make a long line colorized, NNTP error occurs.
  2. The space between words will removed in reply (or sometimes even in the original message).
After install, you'll get Tools | Character tools | Colorize for Messenger. Select (highlight) your text, then select this option.

This is an example of the effect of Colorize for Messenger.

Known problem.
Recolorize is not recommended. Redo from the scratch. Else all spaces between words should be removed.

3. Set Stylin is to manipulate left margin.
After install, you will get Tools |  HTML Tools | Set Stylin. After applying the background image (or set page colors Custom), select this tool. It should bring up an input dialog window. Input the numbers in pixel as you wish. Press OK. Stylin setting will be automatically added. Note that if you type alphabets in the box, margin width will be set as 0 pixel. And it is not WYSIWYG, check the results in your draft folder after saving.

And when you reply a message using Stylin', and want to remove indents, input 0 in the box, or just pressing OK without inputting any number.
