あとで気がつきましたが、厚生省自己免疫調査研究班による多発性筋炎・皮膚筋炎の診
断基準には、Gottron徴候　とあります。これは明らかに間違いだということになりま
す。

ゴットロン丘疹の語源について知らなかったので調べました。

Heinrich Adolf Gottron (1890-1974) は、German dermatologistで、以下の命名に関与
しています。
皮膚筋炎で見られる皮疹は、ゴットロン丘疹であってゴットロン徴候ではないことを初
めて知りました。

ところで、Raynaud's phenomenonとRaynaud's symptomはどうですか。

osteoarthritisとosteoarthropathyはどちらが使われているでしょうか。

Gottronユs signという医学用語をDMに使用することの是非について記載します。
回診でGottronユs signという用語は不適切であり、正しくはGottronユs papulesであると
いうお話がありましたが、KelleyのTextboook of Rheumatology,
KoopmanのArthritis and Allied Conditionのいずれにも、Gottronユs Papule, Gottronユ
s signのどちらの用語も記載されております。したがって、Gottronユs signは日本のみ
ならず欧米でも広く用いられている用語と考えてさしつかえありません。ちなみに
Gottronユs papuleはユpalpable lesions overlying the extensor surfaces of the hand 
joints, elbows, knees, or malleoli with an erythematous baseユとKoopmanでは記載
されており、Gottronユs signはユscaling erythema without papules in the same 
distribution of Gottronユs papulesユとなっています。膨らんで触るのがGottronユs 
Papule、膨らんでないのがGottronユs signといったところでしょうか。
ちなみにV signという用語も正しい用語です。みなさんの知識の確認になれば幸いで
す。
