Megumi INOKO

Born in Tokyo. Studied in Musashino Academia Musicae under Prof. Louis Graeler and Prof. Robert Davidovici, and also chamber music under Prof. Ulrich Koch, and graduated with excellence. Concertmistress with Musashino Academia Musicae's orchestral tour in Europe. Further studied at the University for Music and Performing Arts in Munich (Hochschule für Musik und Theater München) under Prof. Heinz Endres. Often played in string quartets and also performed at "Music Week in Europe" and with theatrical performances in Munich, Bonn and Bayreuth. Concertmistress with the chamber orchestra in Augsburg, often playing as a soloist. Performed in the the final concert of St. Johan International Music Week. At Sion International Music Academy, took Master class under Tibor Valga. Awarded first prize at the 26th Tokushima Art Festival. And also awarded the Encouragement Prize at the 9th Tokushima Art Culture ceremony. Now a member of the Seto Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra (2nd violin principal player) and also plays solo and chamber music.
- Jazz-
Participated in Codarts Summer School Jazz 2010 (Rotterdam, Holland), under the direction of Mr. Hein van de Geyn. Participated in the Umbria Jazz Berklee Clinics (Perugia, Italy) in 2012, Outstanding Musicianship Award, played at Umbria Jazz Festival (Berklee clinics best award band). In 2014 received mentoring at Siena Jazz Academy (Siena, Italy) from Mark Turner, Avishai Cohen and other musicians active in America and Europe, and had the opportunity to play with Mark Turner.  In November 2015 played at Vladivostok International Jazz Festival. In May 2016, released first album "ZEFIRO". Performs with many musicians in Tokyo, Osaka, Okayama, Tokushima, Kagawa, and other.
