Okinawa
Imagine:
An Hour's ride on the ferry or the bus from Naha,
you will come upon the white beach of coral sands and the emerald green ocean.
Only a step into the water will take you to the colorful colonies of corals and tropical reef fish.
This is not a dream, this is reality in Okinawa.
As you move through the water,
you will swim over yellow, purple, blue and white hard corals.
Between the skeleton branches of these corals,
the wondrous colors of tiny fish darting in and out.
You will sometimes glimpse their eyes and wonder whether they are frightened or
curious about you.
You can also see blue or green starfish, sea cucumbers and schools of bigger fish.
When you tire of your underwater adventure,
you can rest on the beach.
You will be impressed at how relaxing there with summer breeze.
Time goes in a different way here.
Where to go:
This is not a dream, this is reality in Okinawa,
but you must select your beach carefully.
I suggest the followings, but you may find others.
Kerama Islands, world famous divers’ paradise: Aka beach on Aka Island, Furuzamami beach and Ama beach on Zamami island;
Yaeyama Islands: Yonehara beach and Shiraho beach on Ishigaki Island, Kuroshima.

Information
Some fish and corals are delicate and sometimes poisonous, and you may be sunburned in bright sunlight.
I recommend you to wear a long sleeve T-shirt, long trousers, gloves and shoes while you go swimming.
