On Man-Made Global Warming Hypothesis
地球温暖化人為仮説について

地球温暖化は人間が排出する二酸化炭素が主要な原因だとする仮説があるそう だ。”謙虚・公平な姿勢で注意深く取り扱う”という立場に立って地球温暖化人為仮説を考える 上で有用な情報は存在するのだろうか。私が調べてみた限り、それは見つかる。末尾にそのリンク先をまとめておく。結論を先に言えば、たとえ情 報量が少なくて も、自分で調べて判断するという自由を気軽に他人に譲り渡さないことを強くお勧めする。

There seems to be a hypothesis that global warming is caused dominantly by the carbon dioxide emitted by human activity. From a viewpoint that "we should handle phenomenon carefully with a humble and impartial attitude", does useful information about the man-made global warming hypothesis surely exist? As long as I have tried to search, I can find it. I summarize link at the end of this page. If I show a conclusion in advance, even when amount of information is small, I strongly recommend not to hand over a freedom to investigate and judge yourself to others.

地球温暖化を定量的に評価することはあまりに難し過ぎると私には思える。なに せ地 球規模の温度分布の話なのだ。北極、南極、山岳地帯から赤道直下まで、あまりに状況が違い過ぎる。温度以外のファクターが放置されていること も気になる。 水と氷の間の変化においては潜熱の出入りがあるように、物質の相転移には内部エネルギーの変化がともなう。そんな状況をたった一つの”平均気 温”で表現し ようというのにはどう考えても無理がある。

It seems to me that it is too difficult to evaluate global warming quantitatively. It is a phenomenon about global temperature distribution. From the Arctic, Antarctic, mountainous areas to the tropical regions, the situation is so different. I am also concerned that an important factor other than temperature is left unattended. In phase change between water and ice, there is latent heat which is going in and out. In this way, the phase transition of matter is accompanied by a change in internal energy. It is impossible for me to think about such a situation with only one "average temperature".

さらに、その”平均気温”は、海流によって常にダイナミックに入れ替わる膨大 な量の海水や地球深部の温度分布、太陽輻射が強く関係して決まるたった一つの物理量である。サンプリングポイントをどのように選ぶかで、”平均気温”を操作することができるだろう。人間活動による環境の変化を逆手 に取って、サンプリングポイントを変更するといったごまかしがなされるようになるのであれば、もはや信用できるものは残っていないだろう。そういった複雑なシステムを謙虚・公平な姿勢で注意深く取り扱うことは大きな困難を伴う だろう。その困難を乗り越えて研究を進めることができた専門家が存在するのであれば、ノーベル賞間違いなしであろう。

Furthermore, the "average temperature" is a physical quantity strongly related to sea water which is constantly and dynamically changing due to ocean current, temperature distribution in deeper parts of the Earth, and radiation from solar. By choosing the sampling points, one can manipulate the "average temperature". If tricky changing the sampling points are done based on artificial environmental changes, there will be no longer any trustworthy things. Treating such a complicated system carefully with a humble and impartial attitude will be accompanied by great difficulty. If there is a researcher who could successfully overcome the difficulty, he would be a Nobel prize winner.

仮に地球温暖化が事実だとしても、人間が排出する二酸化炭素がその主要な原因 であ ると結論するには、さらに信頼に足る実験データ・観測データを見せてもらう必要があり、同時に、そこから出てくるものは一般的には”希望的観 測”と呼ばれ ものである。それはないよりはマシであろうが、その価値は人間次第である。

Even if global warming was a fact, in order to conclude that carbon dioxide emitted by human activity is the major cause, it is necessary to show more reliable experimental/observation data. At the same time, the conclusion from the data is generally called "wishful thinking". It will be better than nothing, but its value will depend on human beings.

いずれにしても、資源の無駄使いは控えるべきだとの意見には賛同する。なぜな らもったいないと思うからである。

Any way, I agree with the opinion that too much use of resources should be avoided, because I think that is a waste.
