Kaori Nakayama

Professor of Arts Management at Toho Gakuen Junior College of Drama and Music

Founded in 1998, since then, Kaori has been leading Theatre Planning Network.

Kaori studied at Theatre Study at Meiji University, Tokyo and Arts Policy and Management at City University, London and has been lecturing Arts Management, Artists Survival, Cultural Policy, British Theatre, and Drama & Theatre in Education at various universities and institutions, including Meiji University, Toho Gakuen University of Music, and Daito Bunka University.

Her publications include; "Theatre and Society - the Social History of British Theatre 1843-1997" (Bigaku Shuppan, 2003), and "International Arts Briefing No.1 Japan" (Arts Council England, 1997).
She contributed to "Stanislavky in The World"(Bloomsbury ,2017)

2012-2018, Kaori was a drama programme officer at the Japan Arts Council and 1998-2018, acted as an internation liason for Japan Actors Union
