At age 40, I found myself working day and night not caring my family at all, nor without having particular hobby to recreate my fatigue soul and body. Why not to have some fun and make easier of my life. Aging problem is approaching me gradually year by year. How about riding a motorbike? It would be a fun and could prevent aging my mind, and keep me young at least attitude toward the daily life, since hands, foot and all other parts of the body including mind need to work together in harmony to keep the motorbike running in a safe way. It would be an ideal tool to keep me in motion. If I ride a motorbike, I thought, it should be a big one from the beginning. I started to attend motor bike riding school at my age 40. It wasn't easy at all. It finally took me four years to have a motorbike license for the big bike.
1st Bike: Honda Shadow VT1100 1988made North American Model made by Honda America I love riding solo touring as well as group touring. My favorite is visiting World Heritage site in Japan by bike, spending long holidays like Golden Week in May or summer vacation. Kanagawa, where I am living during my stay in Japan, has real natural beauties all year around. You can reach to a thick forested mountain range or white washed beaches in just half an hour. I started another hobby recently, jogging. Combination of riding and jogging is perfect. Pick running shoes and pants and ride on favorite bike, reach to the seashore, get off the bike and start jogging along the coast. It really refreshes and make free of my mind. A group touring is fascinating as well. A group member that I belong is so unique and different each one, but make strange and comfortable harmony when they ride together. Our heart filled with happiness and strong confidence to live long. I also belong to KRB (Kanagawa Rescue Bike Support Network) who will try to help disaster struck peoples voluntarily. Basically riders are all good citizens and want to live with local people in good harmony. This group is having regular meeting once a month to improve their knowledge and skill in case of participating actual rescue or disaster restoration works.
