LED interior lighting for Pwi-23 baggage wagon.

• This page shows installing LED interior lighting for hübner's Pwi-23 baggage wagon.
• Contents will be added when the development will advanced.

Tasks of project

• Install LED interior light unit (hübner #4031).
• Install additional LEDs to end entrance entrance, cupola and toilet that missed on hübner's lighting unit.
• Add märklin c96 function decoder.
• Add flicker free circuit.

Circuit

• The circuit has condenser back up flicker-free function.
• Four functions (End entrance entrance, Cupola, baggage room and toilet) controlled by märklin c96 function decoder.
• All equipments installed in under of 'dog compartment' and toilet.

Condenser unit A+A'

The condenser unit A+A' installed in 'dog compartment' under the cupola.

• Connector to hübner #4031.
• Connector to condenser unit B.
• c96 function decoder.
• Condensers C31 - C34, C41-C42.
• Current limit resistor R31 and R41.
• Anti back current diode D31 and D41.

Condenser unit B

The condenser unit B installed in toilet.

• Connector to condenser unit A.
• Connector for vertical unit.
• Condensers C11,C21 and C43.
• Current limit resistor R11 and R21.
• Anti back current diode D11 and D21.

Vertical unit

• Connector to condenser unit B.
• Connector to D101 and D201,
• Current limit resistor R101, R201 and R401.
• LED for toilet D401 (normal brightness yellow LED).

Vertical unit installed to connector on condenser unit B.

 

End entrance lighting plate

End entrance lighting plate placed in under roof of end entrance.

• Fixed by small plastic angle and black tape.
• Connector to vertical unit.
• LED D101 (super bright yellow LED / hübner's spare parts #4036).

Cupola lighting plate

Cupola lighting plate placed in under roof of cupola.

• Fixed by pin of cupola windows.
• Connector to vertical unit.
• LED D201 (super bright yellow LED / hübner's spare parts #4036).

Condenser unit A, A', B and virtical unit

• Condenser unit A, A', B and vertical unit installed in 'dog compartment' and toilet.

 

Connector between condenser unit A and hübner #4030.

• This connector placed in removed bridge rectifier that originally in hübner's unit.

Connector between vertical unit and additional LEDs.

• LED for cupola and end entrance are connected by miniature 2pin connector.

 

Units in it's place.

 

Coding switch.

• Coding switch of c96 can be access from side loading door.

 

Completed wagon

Result

• 'Dark' area in hübner's original unit are now light up!
• Fully digital control.
• Fully flicker free lighting achieved.

• Hyper brightness yellow LEDs : hübner #4036 LED hyperhell für Innenraum (10 pcs. / pack).
