SSym46(6-axles
heavy duty flat wagon) from Iron side resin kit.
- This page shows kit bashing SSym46
6-axles heavy duty flat car of the DR from Iron side
brand static model kit to Gauge 1 working model.
- Original kit is in scale 1:35. We
desinged Length in 1:35, width and hight in 1:32. Width
and hight of this wagon is same as märklin's 4-axles
heavy duty flat wagon.

Inner(mechanical) frame

Inner frame and frame of bogies are
made from extruded aluminium, assembled with bolt and nut.
ladder frame and special suspension
system developed and made by my best friend RC(Radio control)
expert Doc. Aki. .
Detail:
<Body Frame>
- Body frame is 'ladder frame' style.
- Made by extruded aluminium. Side
sills are scraped from L-profile angle by using milling
machine.
- All the parts tied up by bolts and
nuts.
<Bogies>
- Bogies also made by extruded
aluminium.
- Bearings are industrial resin
bearing.
- The frames composed by three parts(main
frame and two end frames).
- Both end frames are freely fixed
to main frame by pillow ball joint.
- The bogies fixed to body frame by
bolt and nylon anti- loose nut.
- Very good traceability because of
special suspension system.
- The bogies are act as 'single axle
bogie with leading / trailing axles'
<End beam>
- End beam also fixed by bolts and
nuts on main frame.
- Couplers, buffers, tie plate comes
from MAXI wagon, and also fixed by bolts together with
styrene outer end beam.
Outer frame
Outer side frame of body and bogies are
made from original regin kit. Load surface, end beam, some detail
parts are scratch build.

<Frame / Load surface>
- Gray part of above picture is
original side sills from the resin kit.
- White part of above picture is
self made load surface from layered styrene plate.
- The width of the load surface is
enlarged to same width with märklin 4-axles flat wagon.
- The outer frame is 'snap on' to
aluminium frame.
- No glue and no screw up for fix to
the mechanical frame.
<Bogie frame>
- Also gray part of above picture is
original side frame from the resin kit.
- Connecting frame between each side
frame is made of layered styrene plate.
- The outer bogie frame is only 'put
on' the mechanical frame.
- No glue and no screw up for fix to
mechanical frame.
Painting
Lacquer paint by air brush. Lettered by
self adhesive marking from original kit.
