A permanebt Museum exhibit celebrates the lives and work of Hall of Fame
inductees,presented by AT&T.

「Rockの殿堂」は、アメリカ文化の原動力であるロック・ミュージックを

現在の地位にまで高めるのに貢献した優れたパフォーマー、プロデューサー、

ソングライター、ディスクジョッキーなどを称える賞です。ロックの殿堂財団は、

過去15年にわたり、こうした人々を選出し、毎年の授賞式で表彰してきました。

ロックの殿堂の授賞式は、1年を通じて最も有名な催しの一つとなっており、

ロックの世界では間違いなく最大のイベントの一つといえるものです。
[insaid]The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame honors the legendary performers, producers,
songwriters, disc jockeys and others who have made rock and roll the force in our
culturethat it is. For a decade and a half, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Foundation
has been nominating and electing those figures, and honoring them at an annual
ceremony that hasbecome one of the most celebrated events of the year, and certainly
one of the hottest tickets in rock.

授賞式で、アーティストたちは、時に辛らつで、ときにユーモラスなスピーチに

よって、ロック会の仲間や先輩たちを称えます。そして、その後の賑やかな

パフォーマンスは、まさに一生に一度の経験といえる貴重なもので、ロックの

歴史に敬意を表すると同時に、新たな歴史を創る場ともなっています。

In sometimes poignant, sometimes hilarious speeches, artists toast their peers and
forebears in rock, followed by rollicking, once-in-a-lifetime performances that make
history as much as pay tribute to it. Ceremonies have featured many unforgettable
moments: like when Mick Jagger, Tina Turner, Bob Dylan, members of the Beach Boys
and Bruce Springsteen, among others, shared the same stage, or when Santana performed
"Black Magic Woman" with ex-Fleetwood Mac member Peter Green, the song's
original composer.

受賞したアーティストたちは、ロックの殿堂博物館での展示というさらなる栄誉を受けます。

展示の内容は、パフォーマー部門の受賞者全員のほぼ全曲を収めたコンピューターの「ジュークボックス」、

ガラスに刻まれた受賞者のサイン、3つの巨大スクリーンによる受賞者のキャリアと音楽に関する映画の上映、

その年の受賞者にまつわる品の展示などです。
Once inducted, the artists are further honored when they are featured in the Museum's
Hall of Fameexhibit, which includes a computerized "juke box" containing virtually every
song of every performerinductee; etched-glass signatures of the inductees; a film on three
huge screens recounting their careers and music; and a display of artifacts from the
current year's inductees.
