Dear Genius Robin!

Typhoon NO.10 has swept through my island, leaving a rekatively cool environment for us writers.
In this connection, I feel myself entitled to
coolly recommend you a welcome reading of a very fine book (especially from the standpoint of general semantics) written by Ian Stevenson. This suggestion of mine is very important if my propensity as an educator or rather awakener (if man is supposed to like wakefulness more than the feline being) is allowed to act for your benefit.
In brief, you are advised to read any book by the above old man (8 years my senior) who was born in Montreal in 1918=Taisho 7 nen.
Only a few books by Ian have been translated into
Japanese yet, but ZENSEI WO KIOKU SURU KODOMO-TACHI (Children Who Remember Previous Lives) translated by Kasahara Toshio would leastbe a good target for your enjoyable correction or criticism. Boththe author and the translator are of high caliber in this rare case.
The good translation was published by Nihon-Kyobun-Sha two years ago. So you won't find it necessary to visit Kanda for getting or seeing a copy thereof.
You once declared to me that you are NOT interested in occult or supernatural affairs, and yet you must be concerned withyour Life-Death duality or dualism, even when it is related with your beloved cat or its victims: birds.
Please think anew all these things after you read any ofIan Stevenson's scientific books. He is now a professor in the faculty of medicine at the University of Virginia. He is one of the most excellent men of wisdom, who, in addition, knows how to write good English. His address is as follows:
     Dr. Ian Stevenson
     Division of Personality Studies
     Box 152, Medical Center,
     University of Virginia
     Charlottesville, VA
     22908 U.S.A.
Probably the best way for you to do is take a casual
stroll in Yukata in the Kinikuniya-Shoten, Shinjuku to have a lookat the translator's Atogaki for his Japanese version of CHILDREN WHO REMEMBER PREVIOUS LIVES. His Japanese is concise and exact enough to please please you.
Genius as you are, you ought to know a shadow of some ofyour previous lives.
Thank you for having read my queer English!

                Sincerely yours,

                ご存じの

The madman who had long been insistent on having us kill all the kittens kept both outside and inside our house, simply due to the fact that they usually soil the roof of his cherished automobile, was recently shut up owing to my deliberate drunkenness, which forced my neighbors to call the "patokaa", out of which did emerge an elderly cop who happened to love cats.
     Medetasi-medetasi!
