< What is a permission to Engage in Activities other than Permitted? >
[Activities other than Permitted]
You may only engage in certain activities permitted against your status of residence. When you intend to engage in an activity other than permitted involving income (a temporary income not included), you shall apply for and obtain a permission in advance.
For example, when you have a Non-working status of residence such as "College Student", "Pre-college Student", "Dependent", etc., you are required to obtain a permission when you engage in a part-time job.
[Permission to Engage in a Part-time Job]
Engaging in a part-time job is permitted on condition that you work for less than 28 hours a week. Once permitted, when you are college student or pre-college student, you may change your job without applying for another permission. On the other hand, when you are dependent, you shall apply for another permission whenever you change your job.
[Working without a Permission]
When you engage in a part-time job without a prior permission, you shall be subject to punishment and deportation. When deported, you can not enter Japan for 5 years from the date of deportation.
Your inquiry will be always welcome;
